Designed as a presentation for a retiring head of a school board of governors this desk box is made from mahogany and measures 10 1/2" x 8" x 3 1/2"
There is one tray fitted to take pens, pencils, stamps, paper clips and all the paraphernalia needed on a normal desk.
The tray is made from bubinga and the lining to some of the compartments is in satinwood. I will also often line the interiors of this sort of box with leather.
A detail showing the the inlay in the centre of the lid, made up from dyed veneers and mother of pearl dots. It is part of the School coat of Arms.
