This curved top flute case was made for a beautiful John Lunn flute owned by a keen amateur player. It is in cherry with a simple white/black/white line around the lid. It has John Lunn’s logo inlaid on the lid, and in addition there is an inlay of a giant African land snail. Really.
I also did a matching case for a lovely old piccolo that once belonged to Wilfred Smith, he of the orchestral exerpts. This had another giant African land snail inlaid on the lid.
Here are the two cases open - lined with leather to hold the instruments firmly but gently.
