A case in maple for a copy of the famous ebony Bressan in The Victoria & Albert Museum in London. The lid is a solid panel and the case is fitted with brass hinges and side or 'S' hooks, recessed to reduce the possibility of their coming unhooked in transit. The exterior is sealed and waxed.

The original instrument in the V&A is in ebony and is intricately inlaid with silver wire - it was obviously a much prized instrument. This copy was made by Rod Cameron in gorgeous flamed boxwood - shown here is a detail of the lovely engraving Rod has done around the rings strengthening the sockets on this flute.
