This matching frame and cigarette box was made for presentation to an executive of the Cho Yang shipping company. The picture in the frame is a photograph of one of the line's container ships, perhaps even the flagship of their fleet.

Both are veneered with matching book matched burr walnut. The box is lined with honduras cedar and there is detailing in boxwood, brass and mother-of-pearl. The 'P' on the frame is engraved into the mother-of-pearl and filled with a red pigment.
