Please note: whatever you order it will not be quick. At the beginning of 2008 I am quoting a minimum 12 months delivery time. Some flute cases can be delivered sooner as the making of these is an ongoing process.

The First Contact:

Many people are understandably worried about getting something specially made for them: it will probably be far too expensive, it will take too long and how can you REALLY guarantee that you will get exactly what you want? Also, the first contact, however tentative, can lead to a feeling of a pressure to purchase. These are not irrational worries but very valid ones that I will try to deal with here.

Price is, for most, a central issue and it is true that an item made to your particular requirements is bound to be more expensive than one 'off-the-peg'. I have deliberately not quoted prices for any of the pieces on this site - this is because I always prefer to discuss a customer's budget and individual requirements in order to arrive at a result that suits both. I will advise you what is and isn't possible within a broad budget: because I usually make only single pieces each is different and therefore priced accordingly.

If you have a budget of £120 and what you have in mind would cost nearer £3,000 then we may well have a problem. But this seldom happens - I have had twenty years experience designing and making single, commissioned pieces for all sorts of customers and balancing a budget with particular requirements has nearly always been arrived at quickly and smoothly.
