This is a Japanese influenced box intended to hold Bach flower remedies. Or rather, it’s more of a covered tray. The cover is a laminated ‘arch’ of dyed veneers, carved away to reveal the different colours underneath. I’m not a carver and I’m no good at it - but it was fun to do and I like the final result.This was a project in my second book, 'Fine Decorative Boxes' published by Sterling in 1998.
