Make your own gift - box making woodworking classes
My website works very well for me - too well! I am regularly contacted by potential customers wanting that special Christmas/birthday/wedding present with a just few weeks [sometimes even days] to spare. As I don't keep any stock items this is a problem which becomes extreme leading up to Christmas. I can usually just about guarantee delivery for the following Christmas [a few do agree to wait!] but I find myself turning down many potential orders during that period.
Some with an enthusiasm for making boxes have avoided this problem and have come to me to make their own special box, or occasionally to rescue one that has gone a bit wrong! Depending on the complexity of the project I usually recommend two or three days to discuss, plan and get the project going, then home for a week or two to continue the work [with help at the end of the phone if needed] then back for another couple of days to do the inlay work, lining, finishing and so on.
So, if you have an idea for a special box for a loved one why not get in early and come and make it here? It will still be made by you, just with a little ... guidance.
