why not visit one of the most beautiful and unspoilt regions of England - and improve your box making skills at the same time . . .
In 2004 I moved my box making business out of its cramped London workshop and my wife and I now live on the Acton Scott estate in the heart of the south Shropshire countryside. I have a large, well-equipped barn conversion workshop where I run the business and hold my classes and courses - these now include weekend woodworking courses.
not just box making
And there is much more to do here than just box making - Acton Scott is where the popular BBC2 series 'Victorian Farm' was filmed and the famous Farm Museum here is open from March to November. The surrounding countryside is how rural England should be and there are many other things to do.
There is plenty of excellent local accommodation, some of which is in Acton Scott itself.
